Meet Sergeant Brannan, Police Recruiter
I have been with the Moorhead Police Department for 15 years. Law enforcement is still one of the best careers out there. While there is a great deal of responsibility, the rewards and experiences include pride, purpose, and opportunity for growth.
I moved to Moorhead from Duluth, MN. I was looking to experience someplace new and get away from my hometown. Moorhead has the advantage of being a large police department with a small-town feel. The City’s department allows officers to gain valuable, practical experience in a short amount of time.
Career development opportunities are numerous including SWAT, K9, Field Training Officers, Investigations, School Resource Officers, Instructor Positions, Bike Patrol and more. Our department is progressive and welcomes new ideas. This department wants to lead and break new ground, not just follow what others are doing.
Additionally, Moorhead has career opportunities that major metro departments offer without the hustle of a big city. The department benefits from partnerships with the community that includes strong support from our residents and City administration. Here, Community Policing and Officer Well-being are not just catchphrases; they are expectations and strengths.
I would invite you to apply today to join this great team. Please always feel free to contact me at the MPD with any questions. I would love to talk more about how this could be your home – just as it has become mine.
