Commercial Recycling
Our Commercial Pilot Program’s 47 participating businesses recycle approximately 2 tons per week. In the span of a year, that amount of material recycled instead of landfilled is the equivalent of taking 63 cars off the road for an entire year!*
In October 2018, The City of Moorhead Received a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control agency to implement a Commercial No-Sort Recycling Pilot Program to assess community interest and potential participation, as well as to provide a cost-benefit analysis of implementing a Commercial No-Sort Recycling Program city-wide. This 6-month program will conclude at the end of May 2019. A briefing will be provided to City Council in April, at which time a decision will be made regarding a permanent commercial no-sort recycling service to the City of Moorhead.
At this time, the city is currently not offering a commercial no sort recycling service to businesses that are not already involved in the pilot program. However, if you would like to express your interest in having this service available in the future, please take this survey and your input will be used to brief city council in April.
If you are a current participant in the commercial pilot program, below are materials that you can utilize to improve your business’ recycling program!
