The City of Moorhead Police Department (MPD) recently announced several internal awards and letters of commendation for staff.
Community Service Officer Harvey Moos was awarded a Chief’s Letter of Commendation and Officers Andrew Werk and Beth Meier received Lifesaving Awards for their role in helping save the life of a young woman in south Moorhead near I-94 earlier this year. All three officers demonstrated compassion, poise, excellent decision-making and professionalism in a difficult situation.
Officer Mici Bolgrean was awarded a Chief’s Letter of Commendation for negotiating safe resolutions in her first two SWAT negotiations. Both situations involved armed stand-offs and Bolgrean successfully negotiated peaceful surrenders without further incidents in each situation.
Congratulations!
