On March 6, 2025 at approximately 02:57 am, Moorhead Police Officers responded to the 900 Block of 17 Street South for a report of Domestic Assault where the victim was choked. Prior to arriving at the scene the suspect had fled. A Moorhead Police Department K9 was utilized to assist in locating the suspect but was unsuccessful. A large Police presence was in the area investigating this incident. The suspect, Sundance Blue (32) with no permanent address, was later located in the area and was arrested. Blue is currently held at the Clay County Jail for Domestic Assault, Domestic Assault Strangulation and Obstructing the Legal Process.
The victim in this incident was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
