Starting Thursday, Oct. 30, motorists will encounter new traffic changes in downtown Moorhead as construction of the 11 St underpass progresses to its third and final stage, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. By the end of the day on Thursday:
- All lanes will reopen on 1 Ave, including at 10 St and 12 St. The north block of 11 St will remain closed into early November.
- One lane in each direction will reopen on Main Ave for east and west traffic only. All lanes on Main Ave are expected to reopen in mid- to late-November.
- Center Ave will close between 10 St and 14 St through November 2026.
Patience is appreciated as drivers get familiar with the new traffic patterns and routes. Please plan ahead for potential traffic and rail delays.
Construction will continue until Christmas, weather permitting.
