Discharge Sump Pump Outdoors

Moorhead is experiencing high sanitary sewer flows citywide; sewer back-up into your home is possible. If your sump pump is connected to a building drain/sanitary sewer, please direct discharge outdoors. 

Moorhead City Code requires sump pumps to discharge outdoors. Discharge to the sanitary sewer is only possible with a signed seasonal waiver during winter months.
