Thinking about installing solar panels? These important steps must be followed
Thinking about adding solar panels to help power your home? Are you a Moorhead resident? As of July 1, there are several steps that must be followed to meet state/city/local power provider regulations:
- First, the homeowner/licensed contractor must contact Moorhead Planning & Zoning.
- Second, the homeowner must complete a generation agreement with Moorhead Public Service.
- Third, the licensed contractor must get a State of Minnesota Electrical Permit. The State has outlined the requirements.
- Once those steps have been completed, the licensed contractor must get a Moorhead Building Permit before starting the project.
