Construction on Midtown Trail expected to begin on May 8

Construction on the “Midtown Trail” – a concrete path to be built along the river corridor from Woodlawn Park to Gooseberry Park – is expected to begin near the Gooseberry Park entrance on Monday, May 8. 

Some homeowners along 4 St between 18 Ave S and 20 Ave S will lose direct access to their driveways for a portion of this work when sidewalks and driveway approaches are being replaced. Those homeowners have been informed and are being asked to park on adjacent streets during construction.

There are not anticipated to be detours or traffic delays related to this project, which is expected to be mostly complete by the end of August.
