Amateur vocalists ages 15 - 25 who live, work, or attend school in Moorhead are invited to try out for Moorhead Sings. The winner of our local event will go on to the state finals in St. Paul on September 28.
Singers will perform on the Homegrown Stage during the Roots on the Red Music Festival for a chance to advance to the Minnesota Sings championship with a top prize of $2,500!
Vocalists must fill out an application and provide a music sample. Six contestants will be chosen to perform at Roots on the Red and a panel of judges will select our winner and runner up.
Application deadline is September 3. All contestants must provide a CD backing track to sing to. More information is provided with the application.
