Annually, on April 22, our global community mobilizes to protect our planet on Earth Day. It is estimated that over 1 billion people will take action this year and we want to be a part of the movement.
This year's theme is: Restore our Earth. Let's do our part and focus on restoring Moorhead. We have a goal to get every park, street, trail, and pond adopted at the beginning of the year for a one time city-wide clean up.That means there are over 100 different areas available to be adopted! A litter free community is much more inviting to visitors, new citizens, and businesses and makes it a place they want to be a part of!
Knowing this is hard to accomplish in one day, we will give you a whole week! Earth Week 2021 will take place from April 18-24. Volunteer groups will be entered into a drawing for a community sponsored prize pack! Use #SustaintheRed when posting to Social Media to help us track all the fun!
