The City of Moorhead will soon be preparing its 2021 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development. This plan is used to allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, assistance provided by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to promote affordable housing and economic opportunities for low-to-moderate income persons. The year 2021 will be year 2 of a 5-year Consolidated Plan (2020-2024) that sets strategies and goals for CDBG resources. The 5-year plan may be viewed on the City’s website. The City of Moorhead will have a meeting October 5 to discuss community needs before publishing a draft 2021 Action Plan.
The City of Moorhead received additional funds from HUD to combating the effects of COVID-19. The City of Moorhead will receive additional Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) Entitlement funds to invest to prevent, prepare and respond to COVID-19.
