In “Sister Secrets: A Brother’s Reveal”, local author Matthew Valan examines family dynamics and mental illness. Described as a study in regret and hope, “Sister Secrets” tells the tragic stories of Valan’s sisters who were eventually diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. The author will discuss his book and the real family involved in a local tragedy which resulted in the loss and destruction of several lives.
