The City of Moorhead is preparing its 2018 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development. This plan is used to allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, assistance provided by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to promote affordable housing and economic opportunities for low to moderate income persons. The year 2018 will be year 4 of a 5-year Consolidated Plan (2015 – 2019) that sets strategies and goals for CDBG resources.
This meeting will provide an opportunity to listen to the public and discuss community development needs prior to preparing the plan. You are welcome to attend the meeting or share your comments, ideas, or concerns regarding housing and community development online.
Additional opportunities for input: It is anticipated that a draft 2018 Action Plan will be posted online in early October for a 30-day comment period, with a public hearing before the Moorhead City Council during that time period. The Mayor and Council will give final consideration to the Action Plan after the comment period and it will be submitted to HUD after notice of Moorhead’s CDBG allocation amount. Check our CDBG webpage for upcoming draft plan and schedule.
