Calling for volunteers! The City of Moorhead is requesting volunteers to assist with the annual spring litter clean up on the Interstate 94 corridor.
The City of Moorhead maintains the Adopt-A-Highway zone along Interstate 94 from the Red River to the 34th Street South exit. City employees, MSUM student volunteers, and Police Youth Services are also scheduled to clean up other areas of the I-94 corridor this same day.
What volunteers need to know:
- Bus transportation will be provided to the target area from City Hall and back. In the interest of volunteer safety, we ask that all volunteers use the bus transportation to and from the clean up site.
- The Public Works Department will provide each volunteer detailed instructions, safety vests, work gloves, and plastic garbage bags.
- Plan to work the entire 4 hours; if the work takes less time, the bus will return volunteers to City Hall earlier than planned.
- Wear closed toe shoes and appropriate clothing for weather conditions.
- Preregistration is not necessary.
We greatly appreciate your help with this important community effort.
