On Thursday, February 8, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Moorhead Fire, Police, and Sanford Ambulance responded to the 1900 block of 1 Avenue North for a reported pickup fire with a mounted camper on it. As fire crews entered the camper, the deceased body of an adult male was discovered inside. The body will be transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The cause of the fire and the cause of death are still under investigation.
