Moorhead Police Department Offers Virtual Summer Youth Program

Post Date:06/29/2020 8:20 am

For over 30 years, Moorhead PD has provided the Summer Youth Program to kids in need of some positive and fun activity each week.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to conduct our in-person program that consists of gathering together 200 youth plus another 30-40 adult mentors.  So instead, we have gotten creative and are offering the program virtually.  As has always been our mission, this free program is meant for Moorhead youth who do not have their days filled with other activities.

This virtual program will be held twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 7 and ending August 13, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.  We are excited to bring you fun, educational and informative one hour Zoom sessions where you can interact with our School Resource Officers.  We are offering an optional box lunch delivery along with the program as well as a few activities and surprises along the way.

We will accept 200, 8-12 year olds into the program.  You must have a device that can access Zoom and an e-mail address.  Registration is required and is now open.  Go to www.moorheadpal.org to register.

Questions can be directed to Youth Services Coordinator Louis Ochoa at 218.790.4054.
