Fire Damages North Moorhead Home

At 5:47 pm, Moorhead firefighters were called to a fire in a residence at 911 18th St N in Moorhead. Upon arrival, crews discovered smoke coming from the attic vent and fire from a basement window on the north side of the home.
The fire was declared under control at 6:11pm, and caused significant fire damage in the basement and extensive smoke damage throughout the home. An adult male, home at the time of the fire, was evaluated and released on the scene by F-M Ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. A juvenile male, also home at the time of the fire, escaped without significant injury. Damage estimates are not currently available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
