Arrest In Attempted Murder Investigation
At approximately 5:00 a.m., Moorhead Police responded to the Sanford Health Emergency Room in Fargo in reference to a male being treated for multiple injuries received from a knife attack that was alleged to have happened in North Moorhead at the victim’s friend’s residence. The victim, Richard Bold (31 years old), identified the suspect as Brandon Bush, his female friend’s ex-boyfriend.
Through investigation, it was learned that BRANDON CHRISTOPHER BUSH (29 years old with no permanent address) entered his ex-girlfriend’s residence of 9 King Street in North Moorhead. Upon discovering Richard Bold asleep in bed, he assaulted Bold with a knife. During the physical attack, the victim and female resident were able to persuade Bush to discontinue the assault. For an additional substantial amount of time, Bush refused to allow the victim or the female to leave the residence. Reportedly several hours later, Bush left the residence.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., Moorhead Police located Brandon Bush at the Grand Inn Motel in South Moorhead. He was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is on-going.
Brandon Bush is currently being held in the Clay County Jail pending a long form complaint through the Clay County Attorney’s Office for Attempted Murder and other appropriate charges.
