Outdoor Skating Rinks & Warming Houses Open
Lace up your skates and join the fun at our neighborhood outdoor ice skating rinks this winter! Seven locations include a lighted general skating rink, hockey rink, and a heated shelter for changing skates and warming up. These locations include Hansmann, Lamb, Morningside, Ridgewood, Riverview Estates, South, and Village Green parks. General rinks (no lights/warming houses) can also be found at Alm and Voll parks. Warming houses will open daily, beginning January 11, from 4-8 pm, Monday-Friday, and from 1-8 pm, Saturday and Sunday, through February 28 (weather permitting). Warming houses will be open from 1-8 pm on January 18 and February 15.
Masks are required for those ages 6 and up when using warming houses. A maximum of 8 people are allowed inside all warming houses at one time. Please practice proper social distancing guidelines when using a warming house. We appreciate your cooperation.
NEW THIS YEAR: Snowshoes are available for onsite use at Ridgewood and Riverview Estates Parks at no charge. A driver’s license or photo ID will be required for deposit. Supplies and sizes are limited. Please check with your warming house attendant for further details.
Warming houses will close if the temperature is -10° or below, the wind chill is -30° or below, or the ice is deemed unsafe/unskatable.
