Man Assaulted by His Roommate 16031001
41 Year Old Moorhead Man Arrested
On October 20, 2016, at approximately 0140 hours, officers were sent to an apartment building at 1338 4 Ave S for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they located the victim, John Noll (45), with significant injuries to his head and body. They were able to determine the suspect was still in the apartment and tried to make contact. The suspect refused to open the door and officers had to force their way into the apartment.
The apartment had a significant amount of damage as nearly every object was used at some point in the assault and there was blood everywhere. There was also an extinguisher from the hallway discharged and used in the assault. Noll and Jacobson are roommates. Noll is undergoing surgery at Sanford for injuries to his hand.
45 year old Raymond Jacobson was arrested for obstructing legal process (misdemeanor). He was taken to the Clay County Jail and is facing additional charges of Domestic Assault (Misdemeanor) and 2nd Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Felony).
