On Monday, March 20, 2023, at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing in the 3000 block of 18 Street South. During the incident investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect. A short time later, the Fargo Police Department was dispatched to an incident involving the suspect. During their call for service, Thibert was taken into custody and transported to the Cass County Jail.
The Moorhead Police Department will be requesting the Clay County Attorney's Office to issue a long-form complainant for Tribert for several charges, including Felony Attempted Murder, Felony 2nd Degree Assault, and several other charges from this incident. The adult male victim is still receiving medical care at Sanford. This incident is still under investigation, and no further information is available.
