Moorhead Police Investigating Homicide

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of 12 Street South for a call of a possible disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were met at the door by a male, later identified as the suspect. During further contact with the male in the hallway, he became uncooperative was tased by officers and taken into custody. Once officers entered the apartment, they located a deceased adult male.
The Moorhead Police Department, with the assistance of the Minnesota Bureau of Apprehension, is currently working on the crime scene. The victim's body will be transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
Current information shows this is believed to be an isolated incident. There is no known threat to the public, and we do not believe any further suspects exist. Due to the active investigation, only limited information can be released. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
