On September 13, 2022 around 10:00 PM the Moorhead Police Department responded to the area of the 3000 block of 18 Street South for a possible gun shot. An officer observed a firearm on the ground in close proximity to, two individuals engaged in a physical altercation. Officers were able to detain the individuals and safely recover the firearm.
There were no reported injuries or property damage stemming from the incident. A male identified as 37 year old Adil Hussein of Moorhead was arrested and booked into the Clay County Jail with a request for charges from the Clay County Attorneys Office for obstructing the legal process.
The investigation is ongoing and there is not further information available at this time. The Moorhead Police Department was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol.
