The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to improve the quality of life for Moorhead citizens by providing a comprehensive system of parks, recreation, cultural, and human service programs that encourage health, fitness, relaxation, and cultural enrichment, as well as providing opportunities for conservation, education, and community involvement.
Moorhead Parks and Recreation manages a wide variety of programming, facilities, and park land. The City of Moorhead boasts 46 parks, miles of trails and sidewalks, and a variety of facilities.
