Rich Duysen
Chief Duysen received an Associates Degree in Fire Science from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor in Management and Master of Science Degree in Strategic Leadership from the University of Mary. He is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy. Chief Duysen is a licensed Firefighter and Paramedic in the State of Minnesota, an IFSAC certified Firefighter II, Instructor II, Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector II, Haz-Mat Technician, Driver/Operator and Airport Firefighter. Duysen earned the Chief Fire Officer designation from the Commission on Professional Credentialing. Chief Duysen is a member of the North Dakota Air National Guard, Board of Authority for Red River Regional Dispatch, the Minnesota State Fire Chief’s Association Code and Legislative Committees.Phone: 218.299.5440

Jeff Wallin
Chief Wallin received his Associates of Applied Science in Fire Protection from North Hennepin Community College, Bachelor of Science in Fire & Safety Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary. He is a licensed Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Minnesota, and IFSAC certified Firefighter II, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor II, Driver/Operator and Fire Investigator. He is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy earned the Chief Fire Officer designation from the Commission on Professional Credentialing. Chief Wallin also works as an adjunct faculty member of Minnesota State Community & Technical College, Peer Reviewer for the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Secretary of the Clay County Fire Chief’s Association,Treasurer of the Clay County EMS Association, board member of the Northwest Regional Fire Training Advisory Board, serves on the Next Generation 911, Fire & EMS Operations, and CAD/RMS Steering Committees of Red River Regional Dispatch Center, Examiner for the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board and Minnesota Fire Service Certification Board, and a bagpiper for Heather & Thistle Pipes & Drums. Chad Stangeland
Chief Stangeland received his Associate of Arts at Moorhead State University, Associate of Applied Science in Fire Technology & Administration from Lake Superior College, Bachelor of Science in Fire & Safety Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master of Arts Degree in Security studies from the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School. Assistant Chief Stangeland is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy. He is also a licensed Firefighter and Paramedic in the State of Minnesota, Minnesota Certified Emergency Manager, and IFSAC certified Firefighter II, Instructor I, Fire Officer II, Driver/Operator, Fire Inspctor II, and Fire Invstigator.
Chief Stangeland also works as an adjunct faculty member of Minnesota State Community & Technical College, an Examiner for the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board, a member of the Minnesota State Fire Chief’s Association Emergency Management Committee, a member of the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Chemical Assessment Team Technical Advisory Committee and Chair of their Training Committee, and a member of Emergency Preparedness Committees at Sanford Health, Essentia Health, and City of Moorhead.

Chief Eggert is also a member of the Dilworth Fire Department, works as an adjunct faculty member for Minnesota State Community & Technical College, and an Examiner for the Minnesota Fire Service Certification Board. Justin Rosenfeldt Captain Rosenfeldt has been with the City since 2008. He was promoted to Captain in 2017. Before working for the City, Captain Berg was (and continues to be) both a Firefighter with the Dilworth Fire Department and a Paramedic with F-M Ambulance. |
Kayla Cross Lieutenant Cross has been with the City since 2016. She was hired as the Assistant Fire Marshal. Before working for the City, Lieutenant Cross worked in human resources and served as a Firefighter and EMT. She is currently serving as the Fire Chief for the Mapleton, ND Fire Department. Lieutenant Cross is an active member of the Minnesota International Association of Arson Investigators as well as the International Association of Arson Investigators. She has obtained her life membership with the North Dakota Firefighter’s Association. Lieutenant Cross also works as an adjunct faculty member of Minnesota State Community & Technical College and teaches for the North Dakota Firefighter's Association. |
