On February 10, 2021 at 10:02 PM members of the Moorhead Police Department responded to the 900 block of 18 Street South for several reports of gunshots. Officers were able to locate the apartment complex where the shooting occurred. While investigating the shooting a male was located in an apartment and detained. The firearm that is believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered on scene.
The shooting was not a random act. The parties involved were known to each other, have been identified and contacted. None of the involved parties reported any injuries as a result of the shooting. There is no current risk to public safety.
Dexter Lee Fox (no photo available) a 24 year old Moorhead resident was arrested and is being held at the Clay County Jail pending formal charges from the Clay County Attorney’s Office for:
Felony – Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
There is no additional information to release at this time as facts and circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.
