Recognize Active Military Personnel with a Banner in Downtown Moorhead!

Donate and nominate service members

Post Date:08/07/2019 3:44 pm

The Moorhead Military Banner Recognition program is being launched to honor current military personnel who reside in Clay County or those military members who have an immediate family member living in Clay County.  Recognition banners will be proudly displayed along Main Ave, between Veterans Memorial Bridge and 11 St S. Each street light banner will have the name, branch and photo of the honored serviceperson.

If you have an active military member serving our country, please let us honor them! Honoree request submissions are being solicited now through February 2020, and the installation is expected in spring 2020. Banners will be in place for approximately one year. Future installations may follow.

This project is funded through donations. The expense for each banner is $100. Family members, friends and others can purchase a recognition banner. If you know of an active service member but are unable to donate, please submit their information and we will work to match donors to honorees.

Full program details, including how to submit a banner request, are available on the City's website.

The City of Moorhead thanks all who serve and protect our country.
