On 6/29/19 at approximately 0100 hours, Blake Fitzgerald was arrested at the Roadway Inn in West Fargo by the West Fargo Police Department after citizens called to report information about his whereabouts. Fitzgerald is currently being held at the Cass County Jail until he can be extradited to Clay County on charges related to the domestic assault investigation in Moorhead that occurred on June 27th.
The Moorhead Police Department would like to thank the public and the West Fargo Police Department for their awareness and assistance with this investigation.

On 06/27/1019, at approximately 1:45am, officers were dispatched to the area of 24 Ave and 8 St S. A female reported she had been assaulted by a known male and had received non-life threatening injuries. The woman did not require medical attention. The suspect, 35-year old Blake Fitzgerald was not located.
Fitzgerald has a past history of domestic assault, and is currently out on bail from a barricaded incident that occurred in April. Fitzgerald will now be facing charges for Felony Domestic Assault and Violation of an Order for Protection.
