Three Apartments Damaged by Midday Fire

At 11:45 am on December 20th, 2018, a resident in the parking lot of a three story apartment building at 3208 9th Street South in Moorhead reported smoke and fire coming from a third floor apartment.  Firefighters arrived to find a fire in apartment 306.  Crews from the Moorhead and Fargo Fire Departments extinguished the fire and evacuated occupants from the building.  The fire was reported under control at 12:07pm.

 One apartment was extensively damaged by the fire and two others suffered water damage.  The Red Cross assisted the occupants of two apartments with temporary housing. No injuries were reported and no damage estimate is currently available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
