Moorhead Police Investigate a Report of a Shooting

On December 2, 2018, at 1722 hours, officers were sent to 950 40th Ave S (Azool Hornbachers) in Moorhead on a report of a window in a vehicle being shot out.  Initial reports indicate that a group of people were sitting in a vehicle when an adult male approached them.  An altercation took place and a handgun was fired in the vehicle. A juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital for superficial wounds related to this incident.

At this point, no other information is being released as our investigators are still working on this case.  The suspect is known to the victims and it is not a random encounter.  Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to call Red River Regional Dispatch at (701) 451-7660 and ask for the on duty supervisor.
