Post Date:06/16/2017 8:00 am

Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday morning, June 19, the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics athletes in Minnesota will begin.  The run will start at the Moorhead Law Enforcement Center located at 915 9 Avenue North and will continue east down Highway #10 into Becker County.  Participant runners and supporters of the Law Enforcement Torch Run movement (LETR) will be members of the Moorhead Police & Fire Departments, Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Clay County Attorney's Office.  Feel free to come out and support the torch carriers as it passes through town.  The goal of the LETR movement is to raise awareness, and promote inclusion to the Special Olympics athletes worldwide.  The State Special Olympics games will begin Friday, June 23!
