The Moorhead Police Department continually evaluates service delivery to optimize resources in the interest of public safety.  In order to enhance our response on higher priority calls, the Moorhead Police Department will be phasing out the following lower priority services:

  4. Theft, Fraud, or Property Damage Reports:
    1. Officers will not respond to take theft, fraud, or property damage reports that can be completed online at http://www.cityofmoorhead.com/departments/police/citizen-resources/make-a-police-report unless:

      • It's value is over $250
      • Is a weapon or explosives
      • It's a measurable amount of narcotics
      • It's stolen property
    2. Community Service Officers will still pick up any items found during their regularly scheduled hours and will be handled as a Scheduled Activity outside of CSO availability.
  6. Drug Paraphernalia:
    1. Officers will not come to dispose of drug paraphernalia such as homemade pipes, bongs, needles, or any other object used ingest drugs
