Motor Vehicle Accident Involving Pedestrian

A witness contacted Moorhead Police to report a pedestrian being struck by an eastbound vehicle on Highway 10 East and 34 Street at approximately 3:00 p.m.  The responsible vehicle and driver were located a short time later with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol.  The driver DUANE LAMARR JOHNSON (86 years old from Twin Valley, MN) indicated that he was unaware that he may have hit a pedestrian.  The female pedestrian, SHERRI BETH HIMROD (49 years old with no permanent address) was transported to Sanford hospital by FM Ambulance to be treated for serious injuries to her leg and ribs.  The crash is under investigation with review for possible criminal charges.
